The Case of Richmond Park Resident — A British Mother Fighting for Her Daughters
Richmond Resident, a Black British mother of three and a tireless advocate’s, online legal advice for disability and environmental rights, is facing an unimaginable ordeal at the hands of institutions meant to protect her individuals rights including the rights of her children. Two of her daughters—both diagnosed with disabilities and holders of EHCPs—were unlawfully removed from her care by Achieving for Children (AfC), Children’s Services, Metropolitan Police through an interim care order, despite there being no safeguarding risk, legal threshold, or due process. When in advance the Mother had legal safeguarding evidence against Achieving for Children in relation to the safeguarding concerns of Achieving for Children non delivery of Quality Education.

Since February 2025, these children have been denied access to education, despite placements being available since September 2023. Instead of supporting the family, Richmond and Wandsworth Children’s Services partnered with Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP) to forcibly evict the Mother and Richmond Resident on 16 August 2024, leaving her without secure housing or legal recourse.

Systemic Failures and Institutional Violence
This is not a case of poor parenting. This is a case of systemic racism, disability discrimination, and institutional gaslighting—perpetrated against a mother who dared to speak up for her rights, her children’s futures, and the environmental inequities in her borough. “The Richmond Girls”: A Mother’s Fight Against a Broken System
Her requests for court relocation, legal transparency, and the review of fabricated evidence were repeatedly denied by the West London Family Court. The judiciary refused to hear her pleas for fairness and dismissed key medical and psychological evidence.
