GCBR x Claudes SEN Law Campaign Launch Policy to End PIP Reassessments for Disabled People and SEN Families Across the UK – With Press Release
Published by Garnetts Clothing Brand & Range (GCBR) & The Claudes SEN Law Campaign (TCSL)

At the heart of both GCBR and TCSL is a single, unwavering mission: to uplift the voices of the unheard, fight for equity, and protect the fundamental rights of every individual—especially those failed by systems designed to support them.
Today, we come together in solidarity to champion the Claudes SEN Law’s new policy proposal, aimed at abolishing the harmful and unnecessary reassessments that people with lifelong disabilities, complex needs, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) are subjected to through the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) system.
Why This Policy Matters
Thousands of individuals across the UK are living with permanent disabilities and yet are forced to relive their trauma in repeated PIP reviews. Families are being drained—emotionally, financially, and mentally—by a system that too often denies, delays, and discriminates.
This is not just a policy issue. It’s a human rights issue.
The Claudes SEN Law Campaign demands:
Lifetime PIP Entitlement for those with medically confirmed lifelong conditions.
Backpayment and redress for individuals wrongly denied support.

Abolishment of cyclical reassessments that ignore professional diagnoses and established EHCPs.
Independent oversight to ensure all decisions are fair, trauma-informed, and inclusive.
Accessible advocacy for every individual and family navigating the system.

The Press Release
LONDON, UK | Richmond Park – 02.05.25 – Garnetts Clothing Brand & Range (GCBR), in partnership with The Claudes SEN Law Campaign (TCSL), has officially launched a groundbreaking policy proposal calling for the immediate end to mandatory Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reassessments for individuals with lifelong Disabilities, Complex Needs, and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The proposal—part of the wider Claudes SEN Law Campaign—seeks to establish lifetime entitlement to PIP for eligible individuals, full backpayment of missed support, and the abolition of repeat assessments that have left thousands of vulnerable citizens traumatised, misrepresented, or denied the support they are legally entitled to.
“This campaign isn’t just about policy—it’s about restoring dignity and delivering justice,” said Aquayemi-Claude Akinsanya, Founder of GCBR and Lead Advocate for the Claudes SEN Law Campaign. “Too many have suffered in silence under a system that questions disability instead of supporting it. We are here to end that cycle—for good.”
Key measures in the proposal include:
• Automatic lifetime PIP awards for individuals with EHCPs and verified lifelong conditions
• Legal and financial redress for historic PIP denials
• Appointment of independent Disability Advocates for claimants
• Creation of an Independent Oversight Panel for PIP-related appeals and reviews
This joint action aligns with UN SDGs 10 and 16, tackling structural inequality and calling for accountability within the UK’s welfare system. The campaign is now urging the public to sign its petition, which aims to reach over 50,000 signatures to secure a formal Parliamentary response and legislative review.
