▪︎Around 8 million children are reported missing worldwide each year. In the United States, an average of 2,300 children are reported missing every day.  In England and Wales, the police recorded 1,148 child abduction offenses in 2023/24. 112,853 children are reported missing every year. National Crime Agency, UK Missing Persons Bureau. In the UK, an estimated 75,000 children are reported missing each year, and there are over 216,000 reported incidents related to missing children.
