Hello Everyone It’s Claude Here, in the month of April. Today’s Monday Motivation word is Dedicated to: Henry VIII

Monday Motivation Word: Henry VIII

#HenryVIII

▪︎ Henry VIII’s reign (1509-47) is usually remembered for the King’s six wives and his legendary appetite. Infamously, he sent two of his wives, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, to their deaths on the executioner’s block at the Tower of London.

▪︎ Henry was tall at over six feet, and in his 20s weighed about 15 stone with a 32″ waist and 39″ chest but by his 50s his waist had increased to 52″ and, by the time of his death in 1547 at the age of 56 years, he is thought to have weighed about 28 stone ( Figure 3).

▪︎ Henry Fitzroy and Henry VIII’s illegitimate children

Henry VIII had many suspected illegitimate children but only acknowledged one, Henry Fitzroy the first Duke of Richmond and Somerset, born 15 June 1519. His mother was Elizabeth Blount, the lady-in-waiting of Catherine of Aragon.

▪︎ Queen Elizabeth II is not a direct descendant of Henry VIII. Henry’s daughter, Elizabeth I, was the last of the Tudor monarchs. She had no children. However, Queen Elizabeth II is related to Henry VIII through Henry’s sister and is directly descended from Henry VII, Henry VIII’s father.

We would love to hear from you all..
