How can the Norwegian government tell other countries to do more on climate, while developing new fossil fuel projects at home and abroad, fuelling the climate crisis?

The hypocrisy must end.

Rich countries like Norway are telling other countries to lower their emissions while continuing to rake in cash from oil & gas expansion across the world.

Just 5 rich countries are responsible for 51% of oil & gas expansion, including Norway and the UK.

This includes the just-approved Rosebank oil field which would create as much CO2 as 28 countries in the Global South do annually.

Governments in the Global North need to take their fair share of responsibility for the climate crisis and use their wealth to support a transition away from fossil fuels at home and abroad.

The first step is to stop all new oil & gas extraction like Rosebank.
