Overview of #AutumnStatement2023

️National insurance cut from 12% to 10% from January

️Minimum wage to increase to £11.44 per hour from April for workers aged 21 and over

️ Mandatory work placements for jobseekers who have not found work after 18 months

️State pensions to increase by 8.5% to £221.20 a week from April

️Universal Credit and other benefits increased from April by 6.7%

️Local Housing Allowance rate to increase to the 30th percentile of local market rents

️ Freeze all alcohol duty until August 1st next year

️75% Business rates discount for retail hospitality and leisure business extended for another year

️’Full expensing’ tax break for Business to deduct spending on investment made permanent
