¤ Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on this planet. It has been recorded growing at an amazing 47.6 inches in a 24 hour period. Bamboo is a crucial element in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A grove of bamboo release 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees.

¤ Bamboo grove can last for a hundred year or more. An average cane may live up to 15 years depending on the species, but to generalize, 7 to 10 years is more common. The starter plant and smaller plants will begin to die off a little faster as the grove matures because of sunlight absence.

¤ World Disarmament Conference took place in 1932, bringing national leaders together to discuss steps intended to lead from disarmament to complete abolition of offensive weapons and mechanisms for preventing future wars.

¤ 1952, the General Assembly, by its resolution 502 (VI) of January 1952, created the United Nations Disarmament Commission (UNDC) under the Security Council with a mandate to prepare proposals for a treaty for the regulation, limitation.

¤ Nuclear weapons were first developed by the United States via the research and development program known as the Manhattan Project, led by theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer. As of 2022, the world’s nuclear powers have approximately 13,400 nuclear warheads, the vast majority belonging to Russia and the United States.

¤ According to recent estimates, nuclear powers collectively spent 72.6 billion U.S. dollars on their nuclear weapons programs in 2020, with the United States accounting for 37.4 billion dollars of this expenditure.

¤ While there are considerably fewer nuclear warheads than there were at the height of the Cold War, it is unlikely that the world’s nuclear powers will give up these weapons entirely.

¤ Tensions between the two major nuclear powers have rendered this a remote possibility, particularly after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and hinted that any interference from outside forces would be met with a devastating response.

We would love to hear from you all..
