▪︎Marine ecologist is a scientist who studies ocean environments and the ways different organisms behave within them. Most marine ecologists complete their research in the ocean, but some specialize in observing other bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers.

▪︎Marine biologist may focus on behavioral relationships between the organisms in one particular species while someone studying ecology would study how the behavior of one organism influences another. An ecologist would also look at abiotic factors and how they influence that organism.

▪︎Zoology and ecology are firstly related as branches of biology. Both branches study living things. Zoology, the study of animals, and ecology, the study of living things and their relationships to the both abiotic and biotic components.
