Today’s Global International Youth Day Online Webinar Remote Call with UN Youth Envoy.. Here are the #Highlights

1) What are some of the challenges or barriers you have faced or identified as a young person or youth organization, movement, and network, when taking action on the SDGs?

The Key challenges are of the following:

▪︎The Important  factor of Domestic & International Countries Human Rights. Especially for the United Kingdom who are considering to leave the European Union Human Rights convention. Which is a massive issue for British Citizens Human Rights and the Human rights of individuals with Disabilities. It’s time the UK has the Citizens Human Rights in place with Human Rights Convention possibly with United Nations if this is Brexit complexity element.  Which respect’s the duty of candor for Citizens policy of legislation in result of national & international laws.

• Conservative Party could campaign to leave European Convention on Human Rights if Rwanda flights blocked

Risk of Freedom of Speech & Rights to legally Protest with also human data protection rights – For your reference ~ Signal President Meredith Whittaker says the Online Safety Bill will cause “unprecedented paradigm-shifting surveillance” – in a discussion with #cathynewman and former UK Tech minister Damian Collins. ~ https://theclaudeslaw.wordpress.com/2023/07/03/kill-the-online-safety-bill-for-freedom-of-speech/

▪︎ The Challenges of neglect in governance for Soical Justice,  Human Rights and the real issue’s of Climate Emergency. In the current circumstances which we are facing in result Humanity short falls. For example our UK Prime Minister. Who is make more dangerous and harmful decisions. Than solutions for Climate change in the UK and on a International scale. Is Mental wellbeing catastrophe for all individuals within Civilisation.

▪︎ Quality Education when currently 84 million students and individuals with Hidden, Visable Disabilities are currently uneducated without the Human Right of Quality Education.

• Broken Education System which has low under standards of respect. For Students, Young Individuals, families challenges and choices. For Quality of Education. In British society which treats a Student as fact and statistics for Commodity. Which is urgently required to change narrative for the best interest of Young Students and families. Who are treated like their not the Educators. When the student, young individual, young adult, families, “parents or parent,” knows best. No different like the customers now’s best..
“We say no to Commodity Education and to Academics,  Commodity Profiting Based style of Education Placements..”

▪︎Cost of Living Crisis, while Government Officials profit in trillions of investment. The Citizens of Domestic countries face poverty and cost of living challenges.  While unrest of International Diplomacy within countries face person inner affairs conflict. Which we are required to look into how policy are being followed and respected in the best interest of citizens. Bottom to top approach than top bottom is the key element for our world.

• Office for National Statistics, 60% of adults in Great Britain reported an increase in their cost of living in June-July 2023 compared to a month ago. In March 2023, the OBR forecast real post-tax household income to fall by 4.3% in 2022/23, the biggest fall since comparable records began in 1956.

2) What are key opportunities to enhance youth leadership in SDG implementation, monitoring, and review, in your specific context?

The key elements of enhancing the importance of Education,  with investment, to ensure that SDGS Global Goals is accessible tool and resources. For all countries and participation. To have a active involvement with upscaling awareness to enable beneficial innovate social impacts. With productive solutions for now, ‘the immediate and future generations,’ of Youth and Citizens.

3) How can youth be better engaged as full-fledged partners in SDG implementation?

Engaging youth as full-fledged partners in SDG implementation requires a comprehensive and intentional. Approach that goes beyond tokenism and ensures their active participation in decision-making, planning, and execution. Here’s how youth can be better engaged as equal partners in the SDG implementation process:

1. **Recognition of Expertise**: Acknowledge that young people possess valuable expertise, unique perspectives, and innovative ideas. Treat them as experts in their own right and involve them in relevant discussions and decision-making processes.

2. **Inclusive Participation**: Ensure that youth, especially those from marginalized and vulnerable backgrounds, have equal opportunities to participate in all stages of the SDG implementation process. This includes involvement in policy formulation, planning, budget allocation, and program design.

3. **Youth Representation**: Establish mechanisms to include youth representatives in formal decision-making bodies, task forces, committees, and working groups responsible for SDG implementation. Their input should be considered seriously and influence key decisions.

By implementing these strategies, youth can be meaningfully engaged as full-fledged partners in SDG implementation, contributing their energy, creativity, and passion to drive positive change and shape a more sustainable future.

4) How can meaningful youth engagement, in particular of marginalized and vulnerable people, be further strengthened and mainstreamed in SDG implementation, monitoring, and review at global, regional, national, and local levels, including grassroots?

To ensure that all individuals still follow the duty of Candor with the SDG’s Global Goals vauls, Sporting “Olympic Vauls” as equally. Which is a matter of key importance that Sports and Music and Creative Arts does not ever get political for personal advantages for unrest conflict. To avoid Global instability.

I also report to inform some clarity on the key values of Global Goals which are required to be followed and respected. To ensure that we achieve a healthy approach of goal setting to all targets of the 17 Global Goals by 2030.

Meaningful youth engagement, especially of marginalized and vulnerable individuals, is crucial for the successful implementation, monitoring, and review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at all levels. Here are some strategies to strengthen and mainstream youth engagement in SDG processes:

1. **Inclusive Policies and Frameworks**: Governments and international organizations should develop inclusive policies and frameworks that explicitly recognize and prioritize youth engagement. These policies should ensure that marginalized and vulnerable youth have a seat at the table and their voices are heard.

2. **Capacity Building**: Provide training and capacity-building programs for youth and youth-led organizations. This will empower them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively engage in SDG processes, advocate for their rights, and contribute meaningfully to decision-making.

3. **Diverse Participation**: Create platforms that enable diverse participation, including those who face socio-economic, cultural, or geographical barriers. Use a variety of communication channels, both online and offline, to reach and involve marginalized youth.

By implementing these strategies, meaningful youth engagement can be further strengthened and mainstreamed in SDG implementation, monitoring, and review at all levels, including grassroots communities. This will contribute to more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development outcomes.

5) How have you, as a young person or youth organization, movement or network, contributed to SDG implementation or led initiatives on the SDGs so far?
