The Wimbledon Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious.

▪︎ Wimbledon is the largest single annual sporting catering operation in Europe: serving 234,000 meals, 330,000 cups of tea and coffee, 140,000 portions of English strawberries, 10,000 litres of dairy cream and 29,000 bottles of champagne, among other things.

▪︎ The world’s most famous tennis tournament is under way again at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, in Wimbledon. The two week tournament attracts 39,000 spectators every day, including royalty and celebrities.

▪︎ Wimbledon tournament is one of the oldest and arguably the most prestigious tennis event in the world. Since 1877, the All England Club in Wimbledon, London has been hosting the event.

Over the generations, we’ve witnessed iconic rivalries, triumphant feats and heroic defeats.

But while the names may change, the drama remains.
