ECOSOC Youth Forum: Strengthening the Trust of Youth in Multilateralism: Exploring Intergenerational and Peer-to-Peer Dialogue #YouthMovement #YouthNetwork #ECOSOCYouthForum
How can UN Member States and young people:
1) address sexism, ageism and intersecting forms of discrimination?
2) improve the accountability and effectiveness in the multilateral system?
3) promote youth inclusion through inter-generational exchanges?
To address sexism, ageism, and intersecting forms of discrimination, it is important to raise awareness about these issues and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
This can be done through education and training programs that provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to identify and address discrimination in all its forms.
Additionally, policies and practices that promote diversity and inclusion should be implemented in all sectors of society, including the workplace, education, and government. Improving accountability and effectiveness in the multilateral system requires a multi-pronged approach.
First, there needs to be a commitment to transparency and openness, with clear rules and standards for decision-making and resource allocation.
Second, there should be mechanisms in place for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of multilateral institutions and initiatives, with feedback loops that enable continuous improvement.
Finally, there should be a focus on building strong partnerships and collaborations with a diverse range of stakeholders, including civil society organizations, businesses, and governments.
Promoting youth inclusion through inter-generational exchanges involves creating opportunities for young people to engage with older generations and learn from their experiences, while also providing space for older individuals to listen to and learn from young people.
This can be achieved through programs and initiatives that bring people of different ages together to work on common goals or projects, as well as through mentorship and coaching programs that facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development across generations.
Additionally, policies that promote youth participation in decision-making processes can help to ensure that young people have a voice in shaping the future of their communities and societies. #unyouth #unyouthenvoy #unyouthoffice
I also in agreement with all the demands which have been shared equally as well.
