World Poetry Day

Today is World Poetry Day
When I think of the Letter P in word of poetry
I think of the very notable pen
Which takes words of individuals into
Words of motions to words of Influence
Words of wisdom
Words of empowerment
Words with a narrative which can only be imagined not experience by Everyone.
Words that don’t even have to be words.
The very individual who has the lived experience.
Words which travel on a International scale around the globe to a Global audience.
Can have ability to make words magnificent, powerful and timeless.

The word of petry is known to make impacts of beauty and knowledgeable moving poems.

Today I wish you all a wonderful International Poetry Day..

Β° World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO in 1999, “with the aim of supporting linguistic diversity through poetic expression and increasing the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard”.

1) Why do we celebrate National Poetry Day?

National Poetry Day is the annual mass celebration on the first Thursday of October that encourages everyone to make, experience and share poetry with family and friends. Each year we come together because voices, words and stories help to bridge understanding in our community.

We can all do that on World Poetry Day, on March 21. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) founded this day in 1999.

3) Why is poetry so special?

Poetry is great at asking questions, at destabilizing and making us look things in a different way, incorporating a diversity of voices of ways of thinking. That’s what poetry is for. So it’s a very powerful medium for diverse voices to speak and for other people to then listen to those voices.
